Joshua Joseph Dial was born in Allendale, Victoria was single and was employed as a Labourer. He enlisted in Ballarat, Victoria at the age of 19. He volunteered and was stationed with the 4th Light Horse Regiment, 7th Reinforcement with the Regimental number 1089. He was discharged and Returned to Australia on the 15th of June 1919. Tree number 582.
