Biography

Harold Thomas Ewart (Depot) was a married draughtsman living in Ballarat when he enlisted on 7th July 1915. He was training at the AIF Training Depot at Ascot Vale when he was admitted to the Alfred Hospital with epidemic meningitis. He died in the Alfred on 25th August 1915 and is buried in the Ballarat New Cemetery. He was 22 years of age.

His brothers Eric and Roy also served in the AIF and are honoured with a tree in the Avenue.
